Components of PBIS
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) has three main components.
1. Students need to be explicitly taught the appropriate behavior in all areas of the school.
2. Students need to receive positive feedback when they are displaying appropriate behavior.
3. Students struggling to follow the school expectations need to be retrained in appropriate behavior and receive assistance to help them improve behaviorally.
